Prof. Stuart Orr

Principal

Stuart is a founding director of the College. He has had a successful international career as a Professor in Strategic Management and is a member of a number of international and domestic boards, including President of one of Australia's largest NGOs. Stuart has extensive experience in business performance improvement, having worked for companies such as Asea Brown Bovari, run a successful management consulting business and consulted for many of Australia's largest businesses. He is regularly interviewed for international magazines such as Forbes and Bloomberg and for international and domestic radio and television on issues of domestic and international strategy. Stuart has published extensively – some of his recent books are The Corporation of the Future (2022), Strategic Management, Essentials Edition (2021) and Innovation and Internationalisation: Successful SMEs’ Ventures into China (2019).

Prof. Mike Clements

Principal

Mike is a founding director of the College. Mike has had a successful international academic career in both public universities and private education working across three States in Australia.  He has held several senior academic roles as Head of the Business School, Executive Dean, and Chief Academic Officer. He has also taught in the management disciplines with research experience in Europe, Asia and the Sub-continent. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Management and Leadership (FIML), and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD). Mike has served on several external Industry Governance and Academic Boards, been part of Editorial Boards for reputable academic journals, and is well-published. Prior to academia, he served in the NZ Defence force, moving into logistics at PDL Industries (Schneider Electric), and on to senior management positions in the FMCG Food industry.

Prof. Johnson Agbinya

Honorary Research Director

Professor Johnson Agbinya has a PhD from La Trobe University, an MSc (Research) from the University of Strathclyde and a BSc in Electronic/Electrical Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria. Johnson has held senior academic appointments in the public university sector at La Trobe University and University of Technology Sydney and in the private higher education sector at Melbourne Institute of Technology. He was a Senior Research Scientist at CSIRO Telecommunications and Industrial Physics and Principal Research Engineer at Vodafone Australia.

Professor Agbinya's community service includes training emerging scientists, academics and technologists in Africa and is a Research Professor at the Sudan University of Science and Technology and Adjunct Professor in ICT at Tshwane University of Technology, South Africa. Past roles include Adjunct Professor at Nelson Mandela African Institute of Science and Technology, Tanzania, Professor Extraordinaire in Computer Science at the University of the Western Cape, Cape Town and Extraordinary Professor at the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. 

 

Johnson oversees the research activities and publication listings of the college.

Prof. Joan Richardson

Honorary Professor (ICT Systems)

Professor Richardson has a substantial record in Information Systems (IS) scholarship, including PhD supervision and more than 100 peer reviewed publications. She is the principal author of Australia’s first Information Systems textbook which has been in publication for over 20 years (in subsequent additions). Joan has also worked extensively with publishers to develop innovative learning materials and a complete foundational computing resource learning suite for all computing professionals. Joan has also developed learning websites, with a focus on communication, chunking technical skill acquisition and mechanisms for self review. As a professional expert, Joan has reviewed learning programs in various institutions, overseen and been on the review panel for association accreditation and managed collaborative projects involving industry and higher education. Joan received an Australian Learning and Teaching Committee citation in 2011 for her work on the use of emerging technologies and new generation learning spaces. She currently focuses on the application of AI to learning and how professionals maintain digital workplace capabilities across their career life cycle.

Dr Akshay Jadhav

Sustainability Leadership Program Coordinator

Akshay is a GRI certified sustainability professional, with extensive experience in ESG Strategy, Reporting, Auditing and Assurance Engagement. Through stakeholder engagement and impact/materiality assessment, he assists organisations with Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Integrated Reporting (IR), Sustainability Accounting Standard Boards (SABS) reporting. He has helped organisations across many sectors including IT, automotive, healthcare, mining, and food manufacturing to develop their GRI, SABS, and Integrated Reports. He is also an assurance practitioner, helping organisations to assure their sustainability performance through IASE3000 and AA1000 Accountability Standards. Akshay also performs human rights, and supply chain due diligence reviews and has audited the supply chain sustainability of more than 50 international companies. He has also worked as a sessional lecturer at several Australian Universities, where he taught Business Sustainability and Ethics, Project Management and Organisational Behaviour. Akshay has a PhD in Sustainability Management from RMIT, a Masters in Engineering Management with a thesis on Sustainability Management and has published a number of articles on Sustainability Management in academic journals.

Dr Ken Levent

Associate

Ken holds degrees in BBus, MBA, and a PhD, providing a strong academic foundation in business management. With a diverse professional background spanning industries including home appliances, IT, and auto manufacturing, Ken has accumulated extensive leadership experience in both marketing and management. Additionally, his academic career in business has also enriched his expertise with international and critical perspectives. Ken's commercial leadership roles in marketing and in management have forged his understanding of and ability to achieve organisational growth and success across many sectors.

Ken specialises in the delivery of our Learning Leadership Certification and our Building Knowledge Leadership Diploma program.
