The College has built its reputation by drawing on its research and development strengths and is connected with a vibrant international research community. Headed by Research Director, Professor Johnson Agbinya, the College is proud to showcase some of the work of an international network of scholars. Professor Johnson Agbinya
Professor Johnson Agbinya has published extensively including ten books on mobile communication, sensor and data analytics and over three hundred and fifty journals and conference articles. His technical expertise is in the areas of Mobile Communications and wireless power transfer, the Internet of Things, biometrics and artificial intelligence. He is the founder of the annual IB2COM conference and Pan African Conference on Science, Computing and Telecommunication (PACT). Johnson also founded the African Journal of Information and Communication Technology (AJICT). He is currently on the editorial boards of several international ICT journals and an editorial consultant at River Publishers, Denmark. He is a member of Pan African Australasian Diaspora Network (PAADN) and the Nigerian Society of Engineering and a Fellow of African Scientific Institute (ASI).
Research Objectives
The College supports research projects, particularly international research projects which are relevant to leadership and organisational development. At present, the College supports the International Cooperative Healthcare Network. This network was established though a Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade initiative to capture learnings from the healthcare networks of Australia and ten other countries in the region. The project report is avaliable here, From time to time, the college will host other important research projects.
In addition to hosting research projects, the College's research objectives include:

Developing original and beneficial leadership theories, frameworks and perspectives. Past projects have produced extensive and detailed leadership elements framework utilised to provide the content for the College's courses and created the College's sophisticated leadership diagnostic tool.

Promoting research projects which identify new approaches to leadership and business development. Both the College and its network support for these projects is broad in scope and focuses on innovative and creative projects that introduce new ways of looking at an understanding leadership and business development.

Providing opportunities for new and emerging researchers to develop their networks and engage in world-class leadership and business development research projects. Mentoring from senior college researchers, along with the benefits of an international network and research development events are key components of this objective.

Provide a venue for promoting emerging research project results and working papers. Project results in the form of books, project reports and or published articles frequently take a long time to reach the public domain. Many are only available through subscription or access to restricted databases. The College provides a forum for the publication of early results research projects for its network members, to help increase the impact of their work.

The College is proud to host the International Cooperative Healthcare Network, a DFAT funded project involving the hospital sectors of Australia and 10 other countries.

The Cooperative Healthcare Network was the result of a project "COVID-19 Healthcare Responses in ASEAN and Australia", which identified and compared COVID-19 hospital sector responses and learnings in 10 ASEAN countries and Australia. The project resulted in a five-year plan for collaboration and knowledge exchange for pandemic response capability development across the region.
